Absolute Gravimeter Workshop 22-26 September, 2008

Micro-g LaCoste, Inc. is pleased to announce an
Absolute Gravimeter Workshop to be held in Lafayette,
Colorado, USA the week of 22 - 26 September, 2008. The
discussion will focus on "advanced" topics related to
Micro-g LaCoste absolute gravity meter hardware and
software, and is aimed primarily at groups and
individuals already familiar with absolute gravity
meters. Topics will include (but are not limited to):
- Absolute gravity measurement theory
- Software - processing data with "g" software
- Software - Environmental correction issues
- Software - Data signatures of common problems
- Hardware - Interferometer alignment
- Hardware - Laser cleaning
- Hardware - Fiber optics alignment
- Hardware - Dropper tuning
- Hardware - Dropping chamber belt replacement
- Hardware - Superspring alignment
- Hardware - Superspring tuning

Classroom training will take place at the Micro-g LaCoste
facility in Lafayette, Colorado. Attendees will also work in small groups,
receiving hands-on training with an FG5 gravity meter or an A-10
gravity meter. Previous workshop attendees will note that the
hands-on portion of the workshop will be very similar to earlier
workshops.
In addition to the classroom discussions, we would like to schedule a
series of (optional) 15-20 minute presentations by workshop
participants. More details on this as attendee interest is
gauged.
The course is contingent on an enrollment of at least 7 persons and
limited to a maximum of 15 persons. The cost is US$1500 per person,
and includes all course materials, box lunches, and snacks (the fee
does not include airfare, lodging, or additional meal expenses).
Also included are an ice-breaker banquet and a visit to nearby Rocky
Mountain National Park.

Cancellation Policy
If class does not meet the minimum enrollment 4 weeks prior to
the first day of the workshop, it will be cancelled on that
date. All enrollees will be immediately contacted and provided
with a full refund.
Registrations will only be processed upon receipt of a registration
form and a payment method (copy of PO, check, or money order).
Cancellation Policy. A full refund will be provided
for cancellations up to 4 weeks prior to the first day of the
workshop. If cancellation is received after this date, the
customer will be charged 50% of the workshop fee.
