March 11, 2011 Sendai Earthquake as seen by gPhone Gravimeters Around the World
gPhone Gravimeters - one near Boulder, Colorado USA (red curve below),
another at Scintrex's facility near Toronto, Ontario, Canada (green curve below) - captured the 8.9 magnitude earthquake
near Sendai, Japan. The vertical scale is in milligals, with an arbitrary offset to see the
separate response of the instruments in detail.

The earthquake was centered off the coast of Honshu, near Sendai and about 370 km northeast of Tokyo:
